Welcome to the Counselor’s Corner at Blue Bell Elementary School. Please accept my warmest wishes and greetings for the 2007-2008 school year. And for those families new to Blue Bell, I ‘d like to take his opportunity to introduce myself. As the School Counselor, I will be involved in many aspects of your child’s education here. You may be familiar with the quote, originally attributed to author and philosopher Greg Anderson, which reminds us to “Focus on the journey, not the destination. I am not acquainted enough with Mr. Anderson’s personal life to know if has children. But for each of you, as caring parents of school aged children living in this wonderful community, I offer this recognition of the practical: the last few days of summer and start of school focus more on getting to the destination and finishing the activity than appreciating the pure joy of the experience. There are just too many places to go and things to do; or to buy; or to schedule. So as we begin our ten-month sprint to June, let’s take time to enjoy our families and know as a school we are here to support you. We are the Blue Bell Family. |

I very much enjoy
working in partnership with parents and teachers for the benefit of Blue
Bell students. During the
school year I work with students individually, in small groups, and in
the classroom. For more
information, please see the link to the Elementary Guidance Program,

Groups Groups will be offered throughout the school year during the school day. My goal is to bring children together to share, support and learn. Children feel comfortable sharing with their peers and appreciate that someone their own age has, or is dealing with similar situations. Groups are structured on an as-needed basis. Typical topics include social skills, self esteem, anger management peer pressure and family changes. Signed permission by parent or guardian is required for participation.
